What we do

We are a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting Sri Lankan culture and arts within Canada. Our mission is to educate and engage individuals of all ages—youth, adults, and seniors—by fostering a deeper understanding of Sri Lankan heritage through festivals, pageants, musical and literary events, and performing arts. We provide opportunities for cultural enrichment and personal development, offering workshops, seminars, and recreational programs across the community.

Our efforts also include supporting new immigrants, creating a sense of unity, and preserving the rich traditions of Sri Lanka, while promoting collaboration with other organizations to further enhance our cultural presence and mutual aid within the Ontario region.

We Care" Programs for Seniors

In partnership with the Employment and Social Development Canada , we carried out a series of impactful programs under the "We Care" initiative, aimed at enhancing the well-being of seniors. These programs focused on promoting volunteerism across generations, encouraging seniors to mentor others and actively participate in their communities. We assisted seniors in "aging in place" by providing guidance on accessing government benefits, services, and filing taxes. Additionally, the initiative supported healthy aging by prioritizing mental health, boosting self-esteem, and addressing ageism and social isolation.

Our programs fostered social participation and inclusion, helping seniors maintain their independence and strengthen their connection with others in the community.
